The Olympic Games

Hi Everyone,

We are in the midst of the Olympics and Singapore has finally got a silver medal!
Congratulations, Singapore!

Let's also put our hands together for Michael Phelps who has won eight gold medals! WOW! He's truly our great Olympic champion.
“Nothing is impossible. With so many people saying it couldn't be done, all it takes is an imagination, and that's something I learned and something that helped me.” Phelps said.

I hope all of you will heed his advice...and look upon him as a role model. Always strive for the best, nothing is impossible!

For this week, I want you to reflect on the Olympics and what it means to you. To help you with your reflection, I have listed some questions below:

1. What is the origin of 'Olympics' ?
2. Why is it such an important event in sports?
3. Have you watched any Olympic event? Why/Why not?
4. Which athlete/s or event impresses you most? Why?
5. Would you like to participate in the Olympics Games? If so, what event would you like to take part and why?

Please post your response in your blog. Love to read it soon.

Bye,
Mdm Phua

Michael Phelps is very strong. I know why he can win so much gold medals because he eats 3 chocolate pancakes , a bowl of cereal,3 sandwiches and 5 fried eggs for breaks ONLY!WOW that's a lot
