My 1st CNY! Welcome to the year of RAT:0

This year, I had a special and memorable Chinese New Year. Before the New Year, my friends ( teachers from APS) and I headed down to Chinatown to experience the festive atmosphere, and do last minute shopping too. WOW....It was crowded. We could hardly squeeze our way through. Nevermind if we would go home sweaty and empty handed and even being pushed and stepped on, the trip was a fulfilling one. There were lots of Chinese New Year goodies..

It was my first year celebrating Chinese New Year with my hubby, and as Mrs Tay. It was also my first time giving out red packets to children and those who are not married. Though there would be a big hole in my pocket, I felt very excited and nervous. Maybe I was rather shy by nature so I felt a little embarrassed having to give out red packets. I guessed I would get used to it after a few years.

It was also a memorable Chinese New Year because my elder brother registered their marriage on the Valentine Day, 8th day of CNY. Marriage Fulfills the Dreams and Love Two People Share. Marriage is a Promise to Love ... I sincerely wish their marriage be blessed with a lifetime of happiness ...

The festive mood is close to an end. It's now back to school for children and back to work for us, adults. Let's work hard and put in effort in whatever we are doing. Cheers!!!

Hana,

My husband's surname is Tay. So I can be known as Mrs Tay or Mdm Phua.

Hi Mrs Taufiq,

Thank you for your encouragement. Setting up a class blog and helping every pupil to create their own blog is definitely not easy. All these are worth my time and effort because I have discovered some of the hidden talents my pupils have and smany of them have picked up the habit of writing....YEAH!
